Diabetic for 5 years now, I'm ready to lose 30 pounds, to protect my eyes, kidneys, and heart. Anyone else struggle with high blood sugar?

    Hi :)
I was just diagnosed this year (though I've probably been diabetic for much longer without knowing). I've lost 8kgs within a couple of months through exercise and calorie-counting, but I've still got a long way to go before I reach my goal weight. Recently I was put on the VLCD Optifast by an endocrinologist to help me get the diabetes into remission. It would be nice seeing how others are managing with diabetes, add me :)

Interesting read, it seems to be the one I'm currently on :)
