I just had chia seeds stirred into my porridge (only an 8g packet so not a lot), but I think I ate a few before they absorbed liquid and now I can feel help in my throat. I can still breathe fine but can feel them when I swallow. How can I get rid of them? And is this a problem or am I just worrying. I did drink 500ml of water Alongside my porridge.

Chia seeds get soft and gelatinous as they absorb liquid. I would try a hot drink, such as coffee or tea, to flush them out. If that doesn't work, eat something solid--like a piece of bread to move them along.

I used to put them in my protein shake, but I don't like how they get slimy. Anymore, its a spoonful in the mouth followed by 8oz of water. No sticking int the throat.

Add them to pom cranberry juice, let them absorb the juice overnight. Boom.

    This sounds amazing.

Just keep eating and drinking they'll move along soon. I'm sure it's uncomfortable though :(

I always make sure they sit long enough, I like the jelliness

Blend them into a flour with a coffee grinder. Problem solved. I hate the slimy texture, too
