SMOOTHIES...SMOOTHIES...SMOOTHIES..

Anyone have any good recipes on smoothies? I hear they really help. If you have any recipes or any links that will take me to recipes, that would be a great help. I'm losing energy because I'm trying not to drink so much coffee. I think that if I knew how to make smoothies, that may help. Thanks in advance!

Basic - 1/2 banana (freeze the other 1/2 for next time), 1 cup baby spinach and 1 cup milk (dairy, almond, or whatever you like). For options you can add protein powder(I use an unsweetened/unflavored whey) or add some spices like ginger, turmeric or cinnamon.

My usual morning smoothie is 1 cup frozen mango, pineapple, strawberry medley, 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1/2 cup 0% vanilla greek yogurt. Comes out pretty thick and tastes like frozen yogurt! If you wanted some extra protein you could also add in a 1/2-1 scoop of vanilla whey! :)

My morning usual is 1/2 banana, 80-90g frozen strawberries, 60g frozen mango chunks, 24g frozen/fresh kale, 1 scoop of protein powder/or meal replacement powder (I use Vega One recently - chocolate), and then about 8 oz of Unsweetened almond milk and additional water if needed as sometimes it can be too thick.

Sometimes I play with the fruit and change it to frozen cherries or frozen pineapple and sometimes I change up the kale and use instead spinach (frozen or fresh) or even cucumber (without the skin). It's also possible to do it without the almond milk as well and just do water. I make tons of different smoothies this is just usually my morning go to.

I have a sister in law that makes them with 1 cup of butter pecan ice cream and condensed milk.
She ads a tsp of chia for nutrition.
    Everyone loves them.
Lesson: They can be sugar bombs. Careful.
