Can you make up your macros though supplements?

Morning all,
I try to eat as many whole foods as possible and over the last year or so, i've lost about 26kgs (14kg in the last 4 months) which is great, but i think i definitely starved myself at times eating too few calories. But now some awesome people on this site have helped me with my macros which are Protein - 170g / Fat - 65g and the rest carbs.
HOWEVER...
I work abroad and my girlfriend has come to visit for the summer which is amazing but we have very different needs when it comes to nutrition. She has no weight issues and is a vegetarian. So now we're making foods together, i'm trying to work out how i'm going to hit my needs as most of the foods she cooks are carb/grain based. While delicious (I became vegan at the start of the year for a month and loved it) I can see i'm always going to go over my carbs and not hit protein or fats. We'll be eating a lot of spinach, quinoa, tofu and beans which is high in protein, but not enough. Sure i can make a chicken breast on the side, but it kind of takes away from us cooking and spending time together.
So my question is, can i make up lack of protein by adding an extra protein shakes? I'm on one or two a day already so it seems like a lot or would i be doing my body a disservice getting protein this way? adding extra olive oil or cheese on everything to make up fats?

There's nothing wrong with that at all.
If I don't meet a fat or protein goal, I will dump some protein powder into something or spread some cheese on something to get those macros and calories where they should be.
Just experiment and you will find some recipes that work for you. If you look at my diary, you will see that I have cheesecake literally everyday. But, I make it myself and it contains protein powder (among other high protein ingredients)...so you can easily find things to do with your protein powder other than just shakes. I also like to add it to oatmeal.
As long as you are satiated with what you are eating, supplements are just fine.0
