Thoughtless moments that cost you

Did 5k run today and grabbed a Lucozade original from a shop. No phone with me so keyed it in later. 266 cals!! Nearly a meal. Naturally I don't drink it but needed a bit of energy following the run and it cost me dear. Thankfully I had the exercise done but it's a lesson learned. What thoughtless moments have cost you?

I almost ordered a Chicago-style pizza the other day, thinking "I can fit regular pizza into my plan easily, it can't be that much more, right?"
It was.0 -
typo in qty/measurement in my log- the portion was of course saved on a item eaten daily.... yeesh...that sucked.0

Was in town for a morning meeting so thought I'd go to Panera for breakfast. Picked up what was labeled as a 'low calorie', 'healthy' berry muffin. Thought to myself, damn but this is good for low cal, then realised that whoever had stacked the shelves had put the cranberry and walnut muffins on the wrong shelf. Checked the online nutrition guide and realised that my 'healthy' breakfast was a whopping 590 calories. Sigh.0

This morning when I went to Tim Horton's and ordered a breakfast sandwich and a hash brown because I was hungry. Ate up a good portion of my daily caloric intake.0

I went to my favorite Mexican food restaurant after I started CICO, Abuelos. Ordered and ate without checking calories. They serve the best side dish, Papas Con Chile, which is basically mashed potatoes with cheese. I thought how many calories for mashed potatoes, right? The restaurant chain is not big enough to require nutrition information, but SparkPeople listed one serving 545 calories. ONE SERVING!
A hard lesson in checking before ordering.0
