Stay at home mom. Ready to Change!

Names Kate. I'm a stay at home mom of two.. I'm a short girl that's hit a depressing weight and I tell myself daily that I'm going to do this and then after I get all my cleaning and taking care of kids I sit down an eat.. I'm tired of always being tired and I'm even more tired of letting myself make excuses for myself . I know my husband loves me for me... But I'm ready to love me.. Could really use the inspiration from anyone. I am 5'4" and I weigh 295lbs my goal is to get to 180lbs.. Thank you in advance!!!

Don't just sit down and eat. Take your kids out to the park, do an exercise class - there are lots of YT to follow, take a walk around the block, start a garden or container garden. Have MFP figure out your calorie target for the day and use high protein, high fiber foods to help keep you full. You can spend your time learning about different lower calorie food substitutions are available. A lot of them are really basic like if you make your own bread/pizza dough/pancakes, there is no reason to add sugar or oil. I've not done this in years and no one has ever noticed their absence, yet calories have been saved.

I 100% recommend buying an Instant Pot. You can use it for so many things, but probably the most important IMO is that you can use it to make cheap, cheap high protein and filling non-fat Greek yogurt at home. It takes no real time on your part besides dumping the milk in, adding yogurt to it when it is sterilized and cooled, and straining with a cheesecloth or nut milk bag when it is done incubating. The IP does basically everything for you. It also makes fantastic and fast baked potatoes and cooks beans from dry to done in less than 30 minutes.

    Good luck!
