Not a Breakfast Person - Suggestions?

I've recently become committed to losing weight, becoming more active, and being healthier in general. I've done okay so far meeting goals and otherwise making changes, but I'm still struggling with eating breakfast.
I know it's an important meal, but I just can't get into eating first thing in the morning. I'm usually up and about for 2+ hours before I start to get hungry. Any suggestions?

If you don't want or like breakfast then you don't have to eat it (unless you have a specific medical need for it, of course).
If you decide you want to eat it, think outside of the box. It doesn't have to be traditional breakfast foods. Leftovers, salad, shakes & smoothies, bulletproof coffee, sandwiches, whatever you like can all become breakfast foods.0 -
Breakfast is not necessary if you don't want to eat it. Mealing timing is not important. Skip breakfast if you want0

Just don't eat breakfast!! It's not anymore important that any other meal! There is no point in forcing yourself to eat if you're not hungry.0

It's a myth that you have to eat in the morning. If you're not hungry, just don't eat and that will give you more calories later in the day I typically don't eat anything before 11am.0

Don't eat it. Problem solved. There's no reason to eat it if you don't want to.0

I eat breakfast when I'm hungry. It's often 2 hours after getting up too.0

Thanks for all the responses. I'm new to all this so I appreciate it!0

If you can't eat breakfast then you should try intermittent fasting if you want to lose weight fast works well for me0

If you're not hungry, don't eat. If you're hungry, eat. I'm guilty of being fixated on "eat breakfast foods at breakfast" but really, it's food. Eat whatever it is you want (within moderation ) for breakfast!
I wish I could go without eating breakfast, but I'm usually hungry in the morning. That would mean so many more calories for later on!0 -
I eat breakfast when I get hungry for it, but I do tend to push it to later in the morning as much as I can. If I start eating too early, I'll run out of calories too early, and I'm most interested in eating late afternoon/early evening.0

This exactly. Meal timing and the "most important meal" idea is a myth.0 -
I was not a breakfast person either, however, once I started counting calories, regular exercise, I found I needed food by 9am each day. I decided to have a morning protein/caffeine shake to get my day started. I tried various items; yogurt, fruit, eggs, toast, pb, etc. & found that a morning shake with some caffeine is what worked best for me. I would suggest you try various items and then make a decision on what you want to eat. If you choose not to eat, then chuck back two 16 oz bottles of water. This will help hydrate and start your organs from the sleep mode.0

I wouldn't eat it if not hungry at that time of day. And a lot of times I eat foods that aren't even breakfast foods because I don't like cereal and other stuff people generally eat for breakfast and I get tired of eggs every day.0

I lost my initial weight by incorporating breakfast. (I used to be just like you)
You need to eat breakfast.
Even something small is fine!
Oatmeal (you can add a plethora of things to oatmeal!), fruit, eggs, turkey bacon, healthy breakfast sandwich, even a granola bar.

No, actually you don't. I lost 50+ pounds and have maintained the loss for around 3 years now, without eating in the morning most days (I usually break my daily fast between 11am-noon). Meal/calorie timing is not important-how many calories you're consuming overall is.0 -

I don't think timing is necessarily important, I just know that it helped me go a long way. Eating breakfast gives you energy, keeps you full longer, etc.0 -

Eating breakfast works really well for some people. I'm one of them. I need a morning meal or I get hangry. But it doesn't work that way for everyone. Breakfast makes some people feel sluggish or more hungry throughout the day. People should feel confident to play around and see what works for them.0 -
If I eat breakfast I get hungrier earlier than if I don't. It's odd but it does0

If you need to start your organs, then you have many more problems than whether or not you should eat breakfast.
OP, as others have said, you don't have to if you don't want to. I normally eat breakfast (didn't today because I was running late) and I've lost fine. Others who eat early can become ill, or it can cause them to snack all day. It's personal preference for the most part.0 -
I, personally, just found the advice of my professional dietician to be most useful.
If you think skipping breakfast is good for you and works, then go for it.0 -

Which is why you tried the "appeal to authority" argument by throwing in "professional dietitian"?
No. Breakfast is not needed. It may work for you hit for me breakfast makes me hungry the rest of the day if I force myself to eat when I wake up, and then throws me over my calorie goal.0 -
when im hungry i eat. sometimes when i wake up sometimes more near lunch. i jusy eat whenever im hungry.0

You can't eat like the above if you have Diabetes, regular consistent meals are required to avoid sugar spikes.0 -
If you're asking the question because you want people to say it's ok not to eat breakfast, it's ok not to eat breakfast.
Otherwise, here are a couple of tips: http://audacious-aging.nyc/hippity-hoppity-healthy/0 -
Just don't eat. Check out intermittent fasting, it might be good solution for you.0

It doesn't matter when you eat your calories if you are functioning well on that schedule. If you skip breakfast and are lethargic, grumpy, hungry all morning then maybe try eating or drinking something small. If you are perfectly fine then wait to eat. You know how you are.
I eat an hour or so after I wake up and keep it to about 200 calories. I do well with a small breakfast but get too hungry without something before noon.0 -

Where in the OP does it say anything about her having diabetes? If someone does not list medical conditions in their post when asking for opinions, then it's assumed that they don't have any. In that case meal/calorie timing is irrelevant and eating in the morning is a preference thing, nothing more and nothing less.0 -
Just don't eat breakfast if you don't want to.

Generalisation.
It's a personal experience and a personal choice.
Whether breakfast keeps you full depends entirely on what you have for breakfast.
Personally, breakfast makes me more hungry not less.
