I have a permanent bruise and dent on my left shin from a bad fall down the stairs that had me using a cane for 9 months. Can't see it unless you're looking for it! I see it everyday! :confounded:

I used to be so afraid of flying I'd make myself sick the week before to try to avoid it but then felt shameful and get on the plane and sit for the entire flight with my head in my hands. I eventually got sedatives and then I went to a therapist who helped with that and my deal if elevators.

And all the while I had these fears I took flights and worked on the 62nd floor of a building. The day the elevator stopped randomly I decided I needed help.

    Good job conquering your fears.

I was and am scared of heights, but after forcing myself to go abseiling once, I fell in love with the adrenaline rush and now enjoy rock climbing despite and a little bit because of the fear.

I am only afraid of jumping into water now and I think it's the water splashing in my face. I might have to conquer this one to help my boy get over his fear of that
