Is there a lifting and/or nutrition class I can take in college?

I recently started getting serious about fitness and there is so much to learn and so many different opinions and views on the internet. Im going to my first semester of collge in august and was just wondering if that was an elective I can take

Check your college's course catalog online. Lifting would be under PE, but nutrition could be under nursing, family sciences or even a separate listing of community education courses.

Most colleges have nutrition courses - just be careful that you don't choose one too basic or one that starts over your head. Integrative Nutrition offers a course which I think is amazing if your college doesn't offer anything. The Phys Ed department should have classes that can work well now as well as work in the future. Good luck!

I took an elective fitness/nutrition class in college, but it was full of seniors. A 100 level class, but because seniors pick classes first, only a couple of freshmen got in. So, yes, there is likely a class, but you may have to wait to get in. Or you could luck out and find an opening.

My college has a Nutrition category but with only one 100 level course. I considered taking it, but I didn't have any more room in my major for lower level courses. Also, I would imagine that it may be largely too basic for me.
