I have used MFP off and on in the past, but something feels different this time around.
I think, after reading a lot on the boards here, that some things have finally sunk in.
- Food is not forbidden. I have tried in the past eliminating the "bad" things and I never stick with it.
- Taking away a whole food group (carbs) doesn't work for me. Sure, it works for a week or two, in which I'm pretty miserable. In the longrun, however, it just is not sustainable.
I've spent a lot of time living in and visiting France. The French eat amazing food. Amazing food from all groups. Yet, they are not obese (for the most part.) Why? Moderation. That's the key. That is what I am learning and that is what I think I am finally going to be successful with.
I need to lose 20 kg. Not a huge amount and definitely not an insurmountable goal. I think I will find more success connecting with others on here though!
