Why is it so hard to stay on track, even with the simplest thing like login in my meals

Isn't that the question with most things in life. Quitting smoking, saving money, losing weight. In theory, simple. We all know what we should be doing. I think it may help if you come up with a concrete plan. Set goals, and mini-goals with check points along the way. Come up with a realistic plan of how you will meet those goals. Write it down. Start small. Log everything for one day, then another. If you slip up, get back on track as soon as possible. The next day, the next meal, the next workout.
Also, I think you have to really just make up your mind to do it. I had a rather terrible year last year and just stayed in limbo doing the bare minimum in most aspects of my life. I finally decided that doing nothing didn't make the bad stuff go away and that the only way to counter-balance the bad was to actively do good things for myself and seek out ways to bring good things into my life.0 -
I have the same problem! I'll be religious about logging food and working out for 2-3 weeks straight and even lose some weight and then for whatever reason I stop. I want to stay on track for good! I'm determined this round to stick with it! Good luck to both of us!0

Because it's not easy and simple, it can be a process. I try and break it down by logging my breakfast on a break, my lunch after I'm done eating it, and dinner right after. That way I'm not bogged down with an entire day of logging and I don't have to try and remember what all I had at lunch. I'm not perfect and I forget some days, but I try my best.0
