A little background:
I am a mesomorph 6'2" male coming in at 193 lbs (down 12 lbs in 12 weeks next monday)
I weigh in on an Inbody test and it put me at 13.1% body fat (was 16.2 in January)
I want to know how soon it is before you clearly see a 2 pack, 4 pack, six pack. please give examples of your body fat percentage. I hope to have a six pack in 6 weeks. if I lose only fat at the same rate how soon do you think i could have a six pack.

I've always stayed in the 14-9% range. Always have had them visible. 5'11 153lb. Distance runner.0

This is going to depend on a couple different factors...genetics most of all, but also how big you ab muscles are. Some people see them sooner and some never really have them pop as much as they want. I could start to see mine at about 175', ~14% BF and 5'8" in the right light. If you want a "guarantee" I'd say if your genetics are in your favor, 10% worst case you should see them.0

I'm right around 12-13% BF hovering in the 212-215 lb, 6 ft, and I have dull sixer.jeremyclark35574 wrote: »I want to know how soon it is before you clearly see a 2 pack, 4 pack, six pack. please give examples of your body fat percentage. I'm at about 14% 6'1 210 and I have a slight layer of fat over a six but had to go down to about 10% to get a full range hard as rock 6. It all depends on the person, how big your ab muscles are for instance. The bigger your ab muscles are, the earlier they will start to show. My problem is that I have pretty large obliques and they'll pop before my abs do. If you get down to 8-10% BF and you still don't see abs popping, you either don't have abs or you something is genetically wrong.0

I can see my ribs pretty visible and given the right stretch my obliques. I mean the tummy is definitely flat. If I do handheld calipers (by myself so not too accurate) it puts me at 12.4 but the dang impedance scale put me at 13.1 on Tuseday. Would you say it's possible to drop below 10% by mid may?0 -

I mean I don't pay too much attention to body type, just wondered if it changed where BF was stored. I was 205 at 16.2% and dropped to 13.1 at 194.7. any suggestions that worked for you to get lower. probably my abs just aren't big enough for 12-13% to make them visible. i see bicep and shoulder veins0 -

Get it lower? Maintain your deficit. If it's not budging, you could try knocking of another 10% or tightening up how you measure your food intake and including everything you eat.
Your body is not going to cut on the schedule you want it too and your body will do whatever it can to maintain homeostasis, which means holding on to that BF.0 -

Thanks. Everything else looks lean but the gut. I don't want to drop too lose for fear of losing too much muscle but these abs have been avoiding me my whole life0 -

If you eat enough, get enough protein and continue with strength training, you shouldn't loose too much muscle as you continue to cut. Just don't try to cut off a lot in a very short period of time or you will loose muscle. I can definitely see you cutting some BF off over the next two months if your eating is on point.0

I'm 5'11" currently at 180lbs 12-14% body fat . I still have my top 4 abs showing. Only if I flex though. I've been as low as 8% and still didn't have my lower 4 show. Partly due to genetics and also they weren't very developed. Along with a small patch of skin I still have from being overweight. I doubt they'll ever show for me.0

Unless you actually have abs, it doesn't matter what bf% you are. Get working on them and they will show.
My own are visible anywhere from 15% to 9%.
