I went to a diner for lunch today and I went to log my food which was little side salad and a piece of grilled chicken, I couldn't find restaurant in my data base and went to their website and there is no nutritional info. How can log properly if I can't find it to log.

You will probably just have to make an educated guess. Look up side salad and grilled chicken. Read the options carefully for size, preparation, etc. and pick the one most similar to what you ate. Will it be perfect? No, but it will give you a reasonable idea of what you ate and, more importantly (in my opinion), accountability.

Find a restaurant that's comparable and try using a similar entry.

Yep make as best of a guesstimate as you can. My work catered in chicken and salad, I have no idea on either portion size or what to pick, so I just chose a generic chicken option in my diary.

    I totally agree!

I sometimes get Teriyaki Chicken from a place close to my work. I just log it as Panda Express: Teriyaki Chicken. I can assume it's close enough.
