Hi All,
I started dieting 8 weeks ago (3rd Feb) after a trip to the doctors for my under active thyroid - after a routine check I knew the lecture was coming. I was at my heaviest ever, heavier than both my full term pregnancies! After an increase of my thyroid meds and a harsh talk on being high risk for diabetes I knew I had to do something!
That evening I joined slimming world - I don't follow the diet I just go for the weigh in and name and shame. I prefer to track what I eat via calories and exercise - so 8 weeks down the line I am 2stone 10.5lbs lighter ---> I still have another 1 and a half stone to go before i decided on a new target.
It's been a real education seeing how little I moved and how much I ate through exhaustion, boredom, busy job, comfort eating, social eating! I ate when happy, I ate when I was sad...the bottom line was I constantly ate!
Hoping to hear other people's stories and any tips or inspirations!
