How long does it take for the MyFitness Pal and Fitbit apps to sync?
I connected the two apps, and the data is still not appearing in MyFitness Pal after 5 minutes.

I'm having that issue today too. It is usually simultaneous.

I pre-logged dinner then changed my mind about what I was going to eat. I deleted and re-logged the actual calories in MFP. Fitbit now reflects those calories plus what I deleted. I have synced, logged off, refreshed and Fitbit still won't lose the deleted calories.

Just go into fitbit and delete the meal you don't want in there.

Sometimes mfp and fitbit are Glitchy. Give it an hour to sync, depending on how many calories you've burned. I think it updates automatically every 100 calories burned, or you could force a sync in the app.

Does the food diary from Fit bit also get synced to My fitness pal? It does not look like this is happening.

No it doesn't transfer over. The general recommendation, and the easiest, is to log all food in MFP and log all exercise in fitbit. MFP's food database is much more comprehensive than fitbits, plus we have the bar code scanner which I think fitbit does not have.
