Feeling fat

Just did my weekly weigh in and ive put on about half a kilo after trying really hard with sticking to my recommended calorie intake through meticulous calorie counting. I was not expecting to put on weight this week. Feeling bummed about it... So i looked for some uplifting words. And put the best quote pic i found as my profile pic to hopefully give a boost to others feeling down. I'll stick to my guns and hopefully next week my weigh in will be more promising

Stick with it...maybe try changing things up. Look up Chris Powell's carb cycling. I do it from time to time when I need shake things up.

Don't let this get you down. You will not always see a loss each week. Sometimes we are retaining water and that could show a temporary"gain" on the scale. This is normal. Sometimes my scale goes up 8 lbs due to water retention ( time of month, salty foods and so on )

Welcome to the club, I'm the Feeling Fat poster girl! LOL Hang in there, I agree with Thorsmom01, weight fluctuates all over the place. If you're working it right the results will return.... just a temporary flux... which I completely feel for on you.... drives me crazy too. Temporary for sure. Hang in!

Hang in there! You're doing great. Stay on plan and remember that some weeks you will have other things going on with your body besides just trying to lose weight (hormones, water retention, salt) and it may make the scale show something we don't like to see.

I'm in maintenance now, but it seems to me that my weight loss went in a bit of a zig-zag pattern. Two steps forward, one step back kind of thing. But even though there would be some times where it would go back up a bit temporarily before dropping again, the overall long-term trend was down. That's what's important. Don't let those times when it bumps up a bit derail you from your overall plan. :)

Thanks for the kind and insightful words everyone. Ps. Feel free to add me as a friend. I have none on here but wouldn't mind some to help stay on the right path :)

I love your profile pic! I'm up and down several pounds at a time. As others have said, look at the overall picture. This is a lifelong project for me.. I have to look forward and not back, good decisions the majority of the time will yield positive results in the long run.

    Good luck!!
