Deleting entries

Hi, my name is Lisa. I would like to know if there's any way to delete food entries you don't want any more? If not there should be! Sometimes I've entered one in my food diary, and then found a better entry. Thanks

Thanks, but this isn't what I was looking for. Maybe I didn't word it correctly. I want to permanently delete entries that I have picked, but were wrong in the first place. In other words, I've found a better entry to log a certain food. All the unwanted entries are just clutter to look through. I know I can go to Diary, click on Frequent, check off things I don't want from there, and then delete at the bottom of the page. What I'm looking for is a way to delete things from the recent folder?? If it's not possible, then MFP should find a way to make it possible, especially when I'm paying for this. Any help is appreciated...thanks again!

Are you referring to the food entries that MFP saves each time you add a food each day? or just the foods that are showing in your food diary?

You can't delete foods from the Recent list.

The Recent list is just a plain, old database query that is regenerated each time the Food Diary is searched and displays up to the last 100 items you, yourself, added to your Food Diary, either by individual Meal, or by All Meals, depending on your display option. Those food items will eventually drop off of the Recent list display after you log more items. The Recent list is not stored anywhere (it is regenerated every time you search your Food Diary or refresh the page); that is why in the current design you can not delete anything from it. On the mobile apps, the Recent list can pull and display more items from your Diary than what is displayed on the Web version.

The Frequent list displays up to 25 items from your Food Diary based on an algorithm that the user can not change, but a user can in effect hide particular food items from displaying in the Frequent list.

If you want, you can change your default display to the Frequent list, from which you can hide previous food items that you added to your Food Diary and do not want to see displayed on a list of foods. On the Web version, navigate to FOOD > Settings and change Default Add Food View to Frequent. On the mobile apps, navigate to Settings > Diary Settings and set Default Search Tabs to Frequent.

The only way to have the Recent list not display those items that you added to your Food Diary is for you to go back to your Food Diary and delete all instances of those unwanted items from every day that you logged them. You can go back to individual days in your Food Diary and delete the food items one by one on the Web version or by multi-delete on the mobile apps. However, if you delete those unwanted entries from your Food Diary, be aware that your macros will not be correct for those previous days and any Reports, if you use that, will not be correct.
