Hi everybody,

My name is Kandice and on May 26th, I am turning 24. I would like to lose 15lbs by my birthday as a gift to myself.

Ultimately my goal is to lose 52 lbs by May 26th, 2017 (next year) when I turn 25. I am planning on taking a year off to travel and I don't want to be clinically obsese by then.

I have a Fitbit Charge and have been sticking to a 1250-1400 caloric intake lifestyle change. I have a very demanding job, and the hardest thing for me is eating on the go. I feel like I rarely have enough time to meal prep etc and get tempted by the convenience of fast food.....

Any tips on quick snacks and meals? Low calorie with little to no prep time?

(I am a pescatarian, so no meat, but fish, seafood, dairy & eggs are ok)

Good luck with your goals, and happy birthday in advance!

Try looking up "meal preparation" online - there are a bunch of sites and blogs that cover this sort of thing, although I don't have any links to hand right now. But if you're able to set aside a couple of hours or so at the weekend to prepare meals and snacks for the following week, that might help you to stay on track when you're busy at work. If you have the budget for it (and they can sometimes work out cheaper!), ready-prepared or frozen foods aren't the devil and can save you a lot of time - just check the nutritional labels to be sure you're getting what you need.

You could also look at nutritional information online for the fast food places you like, and see what lower-calorie options might be available to you if you do need to grab something on the go. If you're prepared with an idea of the sort of thing you could get and roughly how many calories it is, it'll help you to not go overboard and pick up something really calorie-laden by mistake.
