Looking for a good/economic meal replacement shake.

I am currently drinking shakeology shakes in the morning for breakfast, but they are extremely expensive for a month supply. I was wondering if there's any other really healthy options out there for meal replacement shakes. Or use a blender bottle and mix with water. Not looking for any blending type shakes. Please give your input. Thank you

Try protein shakes or real food. There's no magic to shakeology, just high priced convenience. You could have the convenience from overnight oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, or cereal and still lose weight.0

I know it's a convenience thing. I'm up very early in the mornings so every moment of sleep counts. I love hard boiled eggs but the cholesterol worries me. Am I getting the same nutrients from a protein shake? I thought that was the big claim on shakeology was the high nutrition.0

Make you own with +2 cups skim, rice or almond milk,1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt,4 tablespoons peanut butter,1-2 tablespoons flax meal ( ground flax), a banana frozen in bite sized pieces and 2 tablespoons cocoa powder.Blend and enjoy. You may need to a just some amounts to your personal tastes.0

It depends on what you put into it. I think you get the same effect of Shakeology if you take a multivitamin and drink a protein shake.
I hate shakes and prefer food I can chew, so I just do protein powder and water when I am low on protein for the day. I get 130 calories and 30 grams protein. If I want probiotics, I have a yogurt. If I want potassium, I eat a banana. Some people do loaded smoothies with the powder, banana, and yogurt all together.

I wouldn't worry about the eggs raising your cholesterol http://www.precisionnutrition.com/research-review-cholesterol-eggs
A protein shake won't provide you with the same nutrient quality as real food. I understand the convenience. The highest quality powders will come at a high price and come from organically farmed plants and animals (and provide clear information about the sourcing and lab reports) and don't contain additives. It's an expensive process to produce a product of those standards.
Beach body is a powerful company with a tremendous following and various pyramid type schemes built into it. Shakeology is way overpriced for this reason, not because of high quality. I have a list of high quality powders that you could incorporate but they would require blending type of shake with Fruits/Vegetables to make them taste good.
You could also look at Organic Food Bars Active Greens. Pretty tasty and high quality for a Bar which is rare to find.
