Just took my before pics....:(

Ugh, I had my hubby take some "before" pics so I'll have something to compare to when I've lost my weight (I just started on MFP 2 days ago). Now I'm REALLY depressed, I had no idea I looked so HUGE from behind!! It's hard not to be discouraged, knowing how far I have to go.

Don't be upset! Use it as motivation. You will feel so great once you start making progress and see how far you have come.

I am 40...and "looks" were hardly a motivator for me even when I was in my 20's, now even less so.

I recently found out that "fear of God" :-) (as in fear of some bad illnesses) works much better for me and is more likely to lead to a long term change in lifestyle than to a diet that closely looks for every half-an-inch lost in pictures, etc.

Drop the pictures, forget about how you look from behind, from the sides or from wherever - and think prevention, health and living happily and healthily to 100+ years. :-) I know this is a pretty abstract, boring and not at all sexy motivator IF you had no health scare yet.

AFTER a health scare - it becomes THE HOTTEST motivator out there. ;-)

We all have to start somewhere! It won't ever change if you don't do something about it. So just start now on making a healthier you and you will get there!

You'll be glad to have those photos a few months from now! I wish I had mine from 44 pounds ago

Make sure your pictures are clear. When you've lost the weight, you'll be glad you've got good before photos. Be brave and do some in underwear or bikini too. Do from side back and front. Also take measurements in lots of places. Just remember, from now on, thus will be the biggest you will EVER be.

    GOOD LUCK!!
