Hi,
If I cook chicken breasts in the crockpot With chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and chopped green chilies and then drain it and just eat the chicken- would that have added calories or would I just enter it as cooked chicken breast?

Are you not eating any of the tomato and chilies? Seems like it would be very hard to pick all of that out and only get the chicken. Also you'd be missing out on all that flavor. I'd either count the calories for the tomato and chilies or just leave it out all together.

How big of a difference really are tomatoes, chicken broth and chilis going to make? Are they soaking in oil or something? I wouldn't pick them off, I'd eat them because they are low cal filling items.

I don't understand the purpose of dumping the veggies either, but, if you do, just count the chicken.

I'm not picking them out, the added stuff is for flavor in addition to a bunch of spices. I always drain it off and shred it for tacos. Yes, some tomatoes and chilies end up in the shredded chicken but not much.

I make salsa chicken quite a bit. Crockpot, chicken, salsa and Mrs. dash seasoning. I don't eat the salsa after it's cooked, but do add 3 TBSP of the salsa to my logging because it does penetrate the chicken to give it the flavor.
