sadness?

Has anyone experienced the blues even though the scale says you should be skippety happy? I don't know whats wrong...I just feel really depressed. I think it is stress due to my work maybe and not even really stress, just boredom...maybe time for finding a job that makes me feel needed and appreciated (this one used to do that for me, sigh). Boss keeps dangling a carrot and making empty promises and I am tired of being a permanent temp....I wanna do something that feels worthwhile...anyone have any ideas? Im a writer at heart and my job includes writing and editing job processes.

If there's one thing I learned after years of fighting anorexia, its that happiness can't be found in a number on a scale. Exercise, a good diet and overall physical health can help with certain types of sadness or depression. Others require therapy, medication, major or minor life changes. Sounds like you've got some ideas what might be getting you down. Best wishes on taking action!

When I lost 60lbs 7 years ago (gained most but not all back.) I started feeling funny ( disconnected, like I was pmsing all the time) and depressed. After going to the doctor and many negative tests the doc said hmmmmm you estrogen is a little low and she put me on a bc pill which helped a lot. Fat produces estrogen and my body is evidently very sensitive to it. I have since found a phytoestogen herb that helps. Anyway not saying this is what is going on with you, but you might want to get checked by a doctor.
