@sbrya03, you might do better to post this in the Fitness & Exercise or the Getting Started forum.

That said - what do you like to do? Do you have access to a gym or exercise equipment? You could do fitness DVDs, body weight exercises, run, dance, and on and on.

Many people just starting out, including me, have had great success just by walking.

If you're not sure what to do starting in a class is helpful, there's someone to guide you through the whole thing. You can do anything: yoga, Zumba, pilates, body pump, CrossFit, spin classes, dance. Just find something that interests you :) if you do something on your own, make sure you warm up first

Great ideas above, but while you are working out what you want to do, just get moving. Don't sit around waiting for motivation or ideas, saying "I don't know what to do"... just do something:
Go outside for a walk, dance like a mad thing in your house, stride around the shopping centre, go for a swim, play with kids or dogs or even grownups.
Do you have a skipping rope or hula hoop or soccer ball or roller skates? Or a fitness DVD or the internet and a space in your house? If so, you have something to do!

I think that's the key - get started with something, anything, that gets you moving and then start thinking about what you want to achieve - lift heavy things, run a race, play a sport, learn to swim or ski or paddleboard or row?
And if it's something you can do with friends or a group, you might find good motivation and encouragement there too.
