I wore a zip and the surge together for awhile. At the end of the day they were usually within 100-200 steps of each other (some times the zip picked up more and other times the surge was higher). The thing is the surge would pick up extra steps with hand movements and miss steps when you are pushing something like a shopping cart. In the end they averaged out to be pretty close in steps.

@Bostonbee79 the wrist worn ones definitely clock up more steps, they confuse arm movements - my hubby got 30k steps one day from sitting driving a tractor all day lol (all the bumpy field work made tracker think it was steps!)0
