Nope, you're human. Welcome to the club. Just make better choices now. We all have bad days, weeks etc. You only ruin things if you let those bad moments entirely derail you.
Also... spell check I have no idea what half of what you're saying is.

Do not be scared. But perhaps avoid the scale for a few days. After increased food consumption, we hold onto a LOT of extra water (this is also partially why most people weigh more at night than they do in the morning).

Just get back on the horse and continue the ride. It doesn't matter if you had a bad day in the month or not... unless you ate 24,500 calories today (that is 7 pounds of fat) then well, maybe we might have to work something out for you.

You didn't eat enough to put on 7 pounds. That's impossible. You maybe gained some water weight and that's normal, but don't beat yourself up for one day. Just get back to it tomorrow.

Did you eat 24,500 calories + what it would take to maintain your weight? I'm pretty sure that's a no.
You might see food/water retention on the scale tomorrow, but it's temporary and will come off in a few days. Nothing was ruined in one day of indulgence while you don't feel good. It happens and it's okay. Just get back to your plan tomorrow (or when you feel better) and try not to be so hard on yourself. :flowerforyou:

    This.

At most, the scale will be up in the morning from the increased carbs/water retention but it will go back down. You my not lose this week, but just log and keep going. It happened, use it as a learning experience, log it and then move on.

I do that at-least once a week! dont worry about it just use it as motivation to hit it harder the next time you go to the gym to make up for it

It's only a setback if you don't learn from it. It sounds like it might be time to reassess and see why you're so hungry and tired. There might be some things you can change so that you don't get to this point again.

Maybe 1200 is to little for you. What are your stats?

(It's not unusual for people who are eating at to large of a deficit to end up binge eating.)

You were sick, yeah? When I'm sick I hardly eat for a few days and then I eat like a horse. Like, decimating small villages of foods eat. You were ill. Take care of you right now, and get back to it when you feel better.

1200 calories a day is not your maintenance. Your maintenance is what it would take for you to stay the same weight everyday. 1200 calories is your deficit. So say your maintenance is 1800 (arbitrary bs # I just made up). So that means today, to gain those 7lbs back in fat, you'd have to eat 26,300 calories. That's a lot of calories.

Eating less than 1200 isn't healthy.
What does MFP give you as a goal if you set it to 0.5 or 1 lb per week?

How many pounds to you have MFP set to lose every week? Most people set it to the maximum (2 pounds per week) but that's most appropriate for people who are obese or very overweight. Given your stats, it might be a good idea to set it to lose 1 pound per week or less and see if that gives you some extra calories to work with so that you don't get so hungry.

Stop indulging in all-or-nothing, catastrophizing thinking. Log the food and move on. Also eating too few calories and going for huge deficits is a recipe for binge eating. Plan a sensible deficit and have treats all along the way instead.

Do you eat back any exercise calories (with MFP you are supposed to)?

What's your day to day activity like and what activity level did you pick?

(asking because at lightly active MFP says I should NET 1300 calories a day for 1 lb per week...I'm only a tad taller, but a bit lighter)

It happened. And all of us have been there. The true test now is how are you going to react, and how are you going to let this affect you?

My suggestion is to put those few days behind you and continue to move forward. Don't let the last few sick days derail you. Forget it and move forward.
