Knackered!

Hello,
I have been 'on-plan' since Monday and I have been feeling so tired! I think I have been eating pretty well, I get enough sleep, and I am sure this will pass, but I was wondering if anyone had had the same experience and how long it took them to level out? I am quite busy at work at the moment and I am struggling a bit.
Thanks!

In to see another person that uses the word 'knackered' - I thought I was the only one!! Also, it's likely the sleep thing. It also really depends on WHAT you're eating. I find days when I eat processed stuff or super high carbs I'mleft feeling... well, knackered. Lean protein with fiber high fruits and veggies work for keeping me up and going. Hope you even out soon... cheers.0

thats what i was leaning towards. i was looking through your diary for the past few days and i would almost bet that is it. maybe try a little switch up and add some lean protein like fish(talapia is my choice) or chicken breast and turkey breast. im not saying your intake is bad, especially if it is working for you, just a secondary perspective.0 -
Welcome to my world! Every day is a struggle to stay awake. But for me it's a super boring job. I haven't looked at your diary, but snacks definitely keep me awake. I have almonds or beef jerky in the afternoon (and a red bull0

I used to have this problem months ago. And I mean, it was pretty bad. I even went to a doctor to get checked out because I knew it wasn't normal feeling that tired all the time.
Months later and I'm feeling a lot better. Now yeah, on some occasions, I do feel a bit tired but that's just down to my job, shich can be very stressful. But what I think helped me fight that fatigue was drinking plenty more water. I now go through about 4 litres a day.
I began eating more food. I was under eating for a very long time.
I cut out the pre-workout drinks. They were packed with caffeine. I think this is what did it for me. I felt much more awake and alert a week later after I stopped taking caffeine.0 -
Your calorie deficit might be too high for the small amount of weight you have to lose. With only 14 pounds to lose, make sure you have your goal set to lose a half pound a week, aim to surpass your protein goal, and eat most of your exercise calories.0

I have a lot more than 14lbs to lose, I think I need to update my stats!!! It's more like 70lbs now, sadly.
Thanks everyone for your replies! I agree with increasing the lean proteins and veggies.. I tend to go shopping very late and pick all the reduced things which are sometimes good choices but not always. I also cook for my partner too so I have to consider him, I give him bigger portions though. We've got a two week heatwave in the UK so definitely lots of water will be a good idea. It will be a lot easier not to drink tea all day as it's so hot.
Kimdbro, knackered is a word us brits are very fond of0 -

I was going to say this too. I've been here for 2.5 years and am an old hat at the calorie game. I thought I was tired, in reality I just needed to eat more. Up your cals and see if you feel better in a couple of days or make sure you eat your exercise cals.0 -
