eating after workout?

Hi everybody!
My hubby wants to join me on my workouts, which I find awesome^^ The problem is that he leaves home for work at 7 am and comes back at 7 pm, and most of the week I've evening classes from 5 pm to 9 pm.... So the only time we could work out together would be at night after 9 pm or in the morning before he leaves. He's not keen on working out in the morning before going to work because he usually goes to be quite late (12 pm) so waking up at 6 am (or earlier to have to time to eat a little before working out) doesn't thrill him. So he wants to workout at night, the problem is i've a eating plan made for me by a dietitian and if I workout at night, i'd have already eaten my dinner (plus i can't stomach eating dinner past a certain time, i hate going to bed full) and the only snack left is a yogurt, and that seems very small. What do you think?
Thanks for your answers

I'll be honest with you, as nice as it may be to take your spouse with you,it seems it will spoil your routine, and his not willing to make compromises, if your fitness plan and food plan is working for you then stick to it, no need to change it for someone else!0

As long as it fits into your calories, go for it! I think if you are the motivation that he needs go with it for a bit. I would be willing to change my ways if my hubby would join me. Once he gets comfortable and loses a bit of weight and has more energy he may be up for getting up early! He may even go off on his own to workout. I say give it a try. If it doesn't work for you at least you tried!!0

You have an established routine in place. You have a special food plan made by a dietician. You have evening classes most night. IMO it's not reasonable to change everything up at the detriment of your well established workout and eating plan just so your DH can join in on the workouts. If he really wants to work out with you, I think he should try to go to bed earlier so he can join you on your workout at the time you usually do it.

You won't have evening classes forever (assuming you're a student and not the teacher lol) and maybe once you're done, you can have the luxury of working out together at a more convenient time for both of you.
However, yogurt as a post workout snack is perfect. It's got protein and sugar, just what you need for recovery. Ask your dietician to be sure.0
