Am I still on water weight?

I'm taking my journey slowly so it's been a little over a month and I've lost about 7 pouns. 5 pounds was easy the last couple were difficult. Last time I went on a diet I weighed less and could drop 10 pounds easy. Am I still losing water weight? Is there any way to tell? I've also lost .5 inch from my waist and 1 inch from my hips.

There's no way to tell (maybe in a lab you could but no practical way) but I would say that at this point your losses would be less water. You're still going to lose some lean mass (water, hopefully minimal muscle) along the way but the big initial whoosh is likely over.0

So since this I'm now down 10 lbs total plus 2 in on waist & 1 on hips. After not losing fora bit iI lost 3 pounds like nothing. I hope this is a good sign.0

Usually water weight drops the first 1-2 weeks due to lowering carbohydrates and usually sodium, so since its been over a month it shouldn't be water weight anymore.0
