Hi there! I was trying to get everyone's opinion on fruit and veggie intake on a daily basis. I usually eat 3 cups of veggies and 2 cups of fruit a day. I know veggies are basically unlimited. Am I eating enough?

I eat 3 apples, 3 bananas an orange and a green soup daily on top of 3 meals. I'm losing 2lbs a week.

That may sound odd, but the fruit prevents me from binging and provides me with my sugar fix

Its worth noting I do go to the gym 7 days a week. It's all about balance and in context.

It's less about how much fruit or veg you're eating, and more about if you're hitting your macro and micro nutrient goals.

I don't think I'd call any food unlimited - anything that puts you over your calorie goal can cause weight gain if you consume enough. But you can eat a lot more veggies than most other foods for the same calories.

Your consumption sounds perfect to me. Canadian RDA of fruits and veggies is 7-8 servings for a female 19-50. A serving is generally about 1/2 cup, unless it's leaves (lettuce, spinach etc) then it's 1 cup. The US RDA separates fruits and veggies. Here is a link with more details:
