I am currently 201 trying to get down to 160. I am fighting to avoid many of the illness plaguing my family. A mother an awesome toddler and a middle school teacher. I am looking to share this journey with a supportive community of folks who are also #fightingtobehealthy

I am currently 18 pounds overweight...The last several years with layoffs/job changes and decrease in metabolism has assisted in me gaining these pounds. Just signed up today and checking out the sight. I filled out my food diary and wow I eat more then I thought. Even though I eat good food, I eat a lot of it, and don't exercise as I once did. For a few days I am just going to fill out the food diary and really understand the amount I'm taking in. It's hard for me to stay motivated. Just getting to the gym is a chore. Frustrated at myself

I totally understand. In the last couple of years, I've had one medical issue after the next. I have hashimoto's disease (hypothryroidism), severe allergies, stomach issues etc. I'm looking to be able to reverse all of this by trying to eat better. I just had knee surgery and it's been an uphill battle because of complications. I realized today, I need help. I can't do this alone. I'm currently 176 lbs. and would like to lose at least 20 pounds.
