There's really not much to them besides a few calories and sodium. I love pickles and there's nothing wrong with them.

I don't know about healthy, but they certainly are not unhealthy. I love dill pickles, they are low in calories and a great way to snack or eat with a meal.

Rid your mind of the food damnation "healthy" vs "bad/evil". Food is food and should be taken into consideration with your entire diet's contents, not dissected on an individual product level.

Pickles are delicious, very low in calories, and high in sodium and other electrolytes. So if you enjoy eating them, eat them.

I did read that pickled foods like sauerkraut, pickled eggs and pickles and even pickled beets increase the levels of good bacteria in your gut.
