How do you view open diarys?

Hey. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how do you actually view someone's diary? When I see someone's post that says they are around the same goals as me I sort of think I wouldn't mind having a look for ideas, motivation and how it compares to what I eat. But when I come across someone that says they have an open diary on their post, I click on the name and it just says this users feed is private and no other information?

Also I searched how and it says you have to go to a page with their name in it but how would I find that?

They may have an open diary for friends only. If you're not friends with them, it may not be open.
Another option is they thought they had an open diary but accidentally checked the wrong box (user error) so they may need a reminder.
A third option is MFP has a glitch. Sometimes if I have my diary as open to the public, it won't let my friends see my diary. So, if I switch it to open to friends only, they can see it. It's weird.
Last option, if you just became friends with them, it sometimes takes a day or to to view their diary, like, or comment on their posts. Not sure why, but that's how MFP rolls.
