I need help

I started this journey back in September 29 2014 . I have done lots of stuff but nothing has really helped. Please help me reach my goal weight. I was 212 and I have not weighted in awhile. I want to be under 200 lbs but main goal is 190. Need friends to help

How do you feel about thermogenics, CLA's and b12 vitamins? That combination has helped me, along with diet I learned. I started at 212 myself I know how you feel. You can add me if you like.

The only way to reach it is to watch what you eat. You need to count calories. Buy a food scale, weigh everything. Fruits, vegetables, bread. Even things like peanut butter and oatmeal. Being strict will help you understand how much you should really be eating.

You can try to start at 1,700 calories. And slowly go down the more you lose (if you want of course). And start adding in exercise. Start off with walking 30 minutes a day. Then try to add in things like jumping jacks or jump rope. Try to bike or swim. Don't overwhelm yourself.

Gradually make changes. Don't do it all at once. I gave up diet soda, now it's been 2 years since I've had a soda.

It's ok to start slow and build. It's much less intimidating that way! Start with logging; build that habit up and practice weighing foods and portions. Then, make some small changes. For example, first thing I did was switch to unsweet tea when I eat out instead of soda. That cut 200-300 calories out my work day just from one change! I gave myself time to adjust to that, then changed something else. I didn't worry about exercise, I didn't worry about the time spent, I just worked on controlling my calorie intake.

I agree with baby steps. Make one small change - maybe cut out one soda per day. When you master that, then make another small change, like committing to take a 10 minute walk every day. Again, when you master that, add on another small change.

Too much too fast can be overwhelming. Good luck!
