can I still work out?

I pulled a muscle in my back today and have a sharp pain! But I REALLY need to go to the gym! Will working out make my back pain better or worse? My go to cardio is about 30-40 mins on the elliptical.

    Seek professional advice, imo if you are hurting don't workout. ..but a walk can help ease back pain.

    I tore a hamstring and never missed a day of exercise.
    For 4 days straight, I swam, then gradually began other activities while under the care of my doctor who is himself a fitness freak.

    See a medical professional, and resolve to do something in the form of a safe, effective bit of lite training.
