Losing weight, toning legs, stomach still big

So I started my weight loss Journey December 26th. I know the date because I said after this big Christmas dinner I was going to use this app that I found prior to Christmas. It's now been about 3.5 months that I've been on this app counting calories. Up until 2/22, I stuck mainly to the diet with some exercise on exercise bike and running. That day my buddy introduced me to a fitness place called Orange Theory, and I'm in love with it and it's helped me a lot. I go 3-4 times a week, and it counts the caloric burn you have in class and I've never had less then 1,000 calorie burn. So I'm active in that department now. I went from 260-224.6 this morning. In past few months I dropped one belt loop, then another, and another. Other day I made a hole at work until I buy a new belt today. So I know I'm dropping inches. My shirts fit a little better, and my legs are strong and toned up. But I'm starting to lose sight of why I even started. I looked in the mirror and was disgusted, but I'm not dropping the fat weight from my chest or stomach really. I mean I have pictures and it did a little. But it keeps me discouraged that I now dropped 35.4lbs and I don't look at myself positively yet. My face has shrunk a bit, but not my problem areas. Any insight or anything would be great. Oh and to add, I keep my caloric intake to 1680 a day plus half the calories I earn from burning at work or at the gym. I don't necessarily always eat them all back. And I do drink a ton of water. I figured I would throw that in there too

Problem areas, are unfortunately, problem areas. They tend to be the places where if you gian weight it goes on first and when you loose it tends to be the last place where you loose. You cannot choose where the fat goes from, your body decides that for you. It is not fair, it is demotivating and disappoiting that this is the case, but keep going and in the end even the most problematic area will change.0

Zupperman87: How old are you? This is an important element in your self image because as we get older we don't shape up like we did when were were young. I'm 78 and want to shed 35 lbs to help my knees and hip joints that are worn out. I have a couple of suggestions for you: First, it sounds like you drink too much water. Yes, this can be a problem as much as not drinking enough. Second, your image of yourself is not based solely on your weight, but on everything else in your life and your outlook, so work on being happy with where you are, accept how you look and be proud of what you have accomplished. Keep up the good work on the weight loss. OB0

I hear ya! I can get a smaller size jeans on but I can't zip them up because my stomach is still to big. My trainer says that usually the first area that you put it on is the last area to lose it. It's very frustrating but keep doing what you're doing and it will come off. At least that's what I keep telling myself. LOL0
