Where's the Stomach Fat

I'm losing weight (6 feet tall, down from 216 lbs to 200), pants are looser by a belt notch, but when I look at my profile I still have a large belly. When I do the pinch test it seems I'm not pinching as much of a fat roll as previously. So is most belly fat on the inside which pushes the belly out or is my belly extending because my muscles there are weak?

You could be losing everywhere, which is making certain spots seem bigger. When i look down my belly seems round, looking in the mirror its flat (a fat flat) but still flat. Its odd how different angels play tricks on our eyes. Best thing to do is just measure yourself.

You may have an abundance of visceral fat, which is the fat all around your organs. Usually it is the fastest to go, leaving the subcutaneous fat behind. But if you had a lot of visceral fat to start, it could just be taking longer to burn off.

At 6' and 200 lbs you're still slightly overweight, unless you are athletic or have a muscular build. Your body fat % is probably in the low 20s. Most of the fat you described is covering the abdominal muscles. Unfortunately for many men this is the last place we lose fat. You'll probably need to get to below 17% to lose it. Google "male body fat percentages" and do a mirror comparison.

Thanks everyone! Looks like I have a lot of visceral fat. I will start measuring my progress, planning on a lifting program soon as well.
