I'm trying to learn more about what fuels the body and what is the best route for fat loss. I'm considering training more for a bikini comp or something along those lines, because having a set goal like that really helps me stay motivated. I'll admit, I have horrible eating habits and have always been super picky, preferring junk to veggies. I've never been overweight, but as I'm getting older (35 now), I find staying in shape requires actual thought, it doesn't just happen magically like it used to.

So I'm starting this journey and I've read ab
Iout IIFYM and found my TDEE and Macro targets. I'm looking for tips on how best to approach this, because so far these numbers boggle me.

Also, do things like pre-workout and Advocare and all that stuff actually benefit you, or is that all hype??

I would really appreciate some guidance! I'm trying to read as much as I can about it, but having actual people who do this on a regular basis give me some tips would be awesome! TIA

Pre-workouts are simply designd to produce focused bouts of physical activity. Think coffee and how focused it makes you feel.

As per hitting your daily macros it must fall under how many "calories" you consume per day.
