12 days to drop a dress size HELP

I have a four day conference coming up and need to fit into dress pants. Any ideas how to accomplish this. All ideas welcome as long as they are healthy lol :)

Buy new dress pants. Or get some spanx.

Realistically, it's unlikely you're going to be able to drop a full dress size in 12 days.

I would set up MFP to lose 2lbs/week. Work out every day. High fiber and lots of liquids.

Buy pants that fit you now. You have 12 days to shop.
Borrow dress pants that will fit you. Maybe a friend or family member has some in the size you need.
You could lose a couple of pounds in 12 days but not a whole clothing size in a healthy way.

I don't know how much fat you can lose in 12 days, maybe 2 pounds of fat. What you can do to get into your pants is try to debloat and lose water weight. Try to reduce the number of carbs you eat and increase your protein. You could lose 2lbs of fat and maybe another 2-3 lbs in water weight. I don't know if that'll get you into your pants but it's probably your best bet. Worst case scenario, If it doesn't work, on day 11 head to the mall.

Healthy would be giving yourself much much longer than 12 days to do it. Hate to tell you that it's not likely to happen. And if you're on a 4 day conference, most business clients I have that do things like that GAIN weight due to eating out. So you'll be busting out of those pants anyway.
    Buy new pants.

Sometimes you can find decent dress pants at thrift stores (just in case money is another concern.) @ninerbuff is spot on, though..most conferences involve dining out or having catered meals that arent necessarily lower calorie. Better to wear clothes that fit comfortably from the start. Dropping a full dress size in that short amount of time isn't realistic though, unfortunately.

Seriously, you'll do any crazy thing to wear a sorry old pair of pants from the back of your closet for three days? Borrow some pants that fit & start getting real about your health when you get home.

you could try drinking water and no other kind of drinks, no fat or dairy or salt, no white carbs , have wholemeal wholewheat instead and eat more chicken fish and veg with no sauces, just use spices to flavour.
In other words "extreme" reduction. Guess what? Eat some carbs, add some salt and voila................an instant gain of about 7lbs. And it will usually push out at the waist.
Attempts like this should be done for contest prep and a 1 day showing. Not a 4 day conference where nobody is really looking at you.

It may be too late now, but hopefully this experience will serve as a lesson for next time. If you want to be a certain size for a day (or three), you should just make yourself that size all the time, and that requires long-term commitment.

You will stress yourself trying to lose that fast and the stress won't help with the weight loss. Buy the size pants that fit you now and start a plan to lose weight at a normal pace. :)

You can try reducing your sodium and carb intake for a water weight loss. Don't go crazy though.

Buy new pants BUT don't give up on trying to get into the old ones.

The new pants are so you have a fallback pair and won't over-stress yourself about NEEDING to fit those old pants.

To drop a size in two weeks.... you will need to ensure you do a lot of cardio exercise and also do squats, lunges, and core work so that you are burning fat and toning the underlying muscle... these efforts will combine to slim your legs and waist.

Also cut back on carbs and increase lean protein... (note that I said "cut back" not "cut out" the carbs)... for the carbs you eat, focus on getting them from veggies -- not bread -- so you get healthy carbs and fiber (but skip the potatoes), which will help keep you fuller and give you the energy to do the extra workouts. Also, eliminate processed foods (including some types of frozen meals) and fast food because they often have a lot of hidden salt that contributes to bloating and fat that slows your weight loss
