Steam mushrooms to freeze

I bought one of those 1.00 silver steamer baskets at the hardware store. I use it all the time now for steaming veggies as my husband believes that the microwave kills all the vitamins. (he's prob. right) I got several cartons of whole mushrooms on sale last week and took them home and washed them and patted them dry. Then sliced them up. I put the water in the pot and let it reach boiling with my steamer basket inside and added the sliced mushroom and put a lid on it. I set the timer for 3 mins then remove to freezer bags and froze. If you want to do whole one you can steam for 5 mins. Great for adding to soups, stews, etc.
