Does MFP take into account calories burned for daily steps taken?

Does anyone know if MFP takes into account the average a person walks or steps they take? I use S Health to track my steps and bike rides, but unfortunately is doesn't sync with MFP... I've only been tracking the calories I burn when I work out, but for instance today I walked about 10,000 steps and it says I burned 694 calories doing so... Would I add that into MFP or does it do that for me already? Doesn't matter too much whether or not it does... Honestly just curious.

Just incase it matters...When I started a few weeks ago I listed myself as having sedentary lifestyle since I work at a desk all day...

Also, before anyone says download another app... I have enough apps on my phone and S Health works great. If I got anything to sync to MFP it'd be a fitbit, but I can't afford that just yet...

If S health isnt synced with MFP then you have to manually add your steps/exercise. Does it tell you how many kms/miles you walked? If so, try adding that in the exercise part here and see what calories it gives you. Trial and error.

Yes MFP does include some steps in your activity level. Sedentary is typically considered less than 5k steps a day. So if you are getting more than that you are probably at least lightly active.

Yaay you won't regret it. I love my fitbit, sync it with mfp, and it's set and forget
