ive done 1200 cals and have switched them up to 1350. Now back to 1200. I feel like it's harder for me to lose the weight when I'm at 1200. Anyone experience this and what did you find to be your happy medium? Sorry had to kind of rush this post.

How long were you at 1350 before going back to 1200? I was on 1200 for quite awhile and upped it when I got to a healthy weight for my height. I am currently at a .5 a week loss and 1370 cals. For the first week I stalled but, I was back to losing the next week. The closer you get to goal the more accurate you have to be. Weighing everything solid on a food scale or measuring liquids in cups.If 1200 is too aggressive you will never stick with it.0

On the days where I do nothing, I eat about 1500 calories. On the days where I do something, I eat about 1600. On the days I do a whole lot of stuff, I eat closer to 1900 or 2000 even, if I really did a lot. I have been losing pretty consistently. I actually upped my calories after I noticed that I tend to still lose or lose more on the weeks where I consistently went over. It's too early for me to tell whether or not upping it is working sooner or slower, but the scale and my clothes tell me I'm still on a downward trend.

I especially reccomend putting the ten minutes in to calculate your BMR and TDEE. You'll probably be surprised by the results. I'm 5'5, 29, and 165 and it told me that the minimum I needed to live was around 1500. I was eating below that, and it sucked.0 -
I will probably get slated for this comment like the last time I posted this - lol. But I will anyway!! Lots believe that sometimes if you start with calories too low and you don't eat enough, your body slows down the metabolism and therefore you burn fat even more slowly.. we've all heard the term "starvation mode"
To find your happy medium you should start with the higher amount - especially as you said you lose weight better on it! When it starts to slow down you can always reduce calories then.. by say 50 a time. It worked very well for me and I didn't need to go as low as 1200 until I was very near my goal weight0
