Rest day??

    I currently work out three times a week. I often have "fun" active sessions such as biking, walking, running, active play with my kids etc but class those as rest days - So, 4 rest days per week.

    Rest day is today for me. But I will get on my elliptical this evening for about a 25 minute loosening up workout.

    3 days split - 4th day is rest.

    Who here takes a rest day. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Just wondering what others thoughts are on taking a rest day

    I take one rest day, I have been exercising 6 days a week. I usually need it because my body is usually exhausted and sore. After my rest day I usually see a weight drop and I am ready to get back to my workout the next day.

    Usually I take one. If I forget, my body somehow reminds me by feeling slow and sluggish in my workouts. I still take a nice long walk on those days, though.
