It works...

So i gave up on the 1200cal diet as within a week my eyes wouldnt focus, my head was fuzzy and i lacked energy to train - and 2 weeks after i put back on the 3 lbs i d lost and 4 extra and was at a bit of a loss what to do....
A month ago i actually weighed in at 191lb with no way of re setting my weight on mfp and resigned myself to starting a full strict keto diet of less than 20g carbs. I went through the thirsty stage, got a few pains and aches and drank more when i got a slight kidney pain due to the high protein level i was consuming and now at the end of 30 days and 2 carb ups everything seems to have settled down - ( i also have the results of four blood tests due , 2 of which are testing liver and kidney function thanks to a very good doctor )
This month has been amazing, the weight came off my elbows and knees then the chest (i miss my man boobs as they actually looked like pecks! ) and then the handles went and now its become obvious my modest belly has reduced and i m now down to 175lb with a loss of 16lb ( no muscle loss as my arms and legs remain the same measurements even if i look a bit "flat" relaxed)
regarding weights used they are pretty much the same but i have knocked out the odd set some days when i train in the morning as i dont feel fully "fueled".
I ve noticed i have bags more energy, and can honestly say at times i ve not wanted to eat my set meals as i m not hungry
Knowing my start body fat % its an easy calculation to work out my present % and calculate where it should be 4 to 6 weeks before before i hit my goal with a few diet adjustments to compensate for a dropping body weight .
Note.- the kids sweet draw and biscuit barrel and cake cupboard remains full and i struggle to eat carbs on carb up days as i know i m going to feel rubbish for a day or two after !
I m not saying this diet is for everyone, just that it suits me and has dramatic results - but i cant help but wonder just how effective it would be for someone with a much higher bodyfat % than i started with and i think it a shame "keto" stirs negativity in the masses who like to juggle their cal restriction to fit their "treats" in on a daily basis !
