37 and feeling great!

I started my path to a healthier body and mind last Wednesday. I joined a gym, made a meal plan, and stuck to it these first few days. I saw a 3# loss on the scale this morning. That's the first time in over a year the scale has shown less and not more! I have 70#s total to lose, but the weight is not my primary concern. I want to have more energy, be more alert, and be more positive. I have struggled with depression for 10 years, and I know that exercise is a healthy and successful tool in defeating depression. So, I am fighting on at least 2 fronts; the physical activity for endorphin release and improved overall physical/mental health, and moderating my food intake to assist in releasing excess weight so that physical movement becomes easier, and I have more energy thanks for reading, please add me as a friend for encouragement, motivation, and support! Thanks!
