Surprised (and delighted) by quick loss - is it a trick?

Hi all! I'm a 5'7" woman and I'm trying to lose the 10-15 pounds I've gained since I got married (only in May! I was lazy for two months...) because I don't want to start the trend of being married and chubby. I started counting again this week (it worked for me before, a year ago, to get down to 140 lb, which is a very happy place for me) and since I started on Monday - 4 days ago - I have gone from 150 to 147. I am not complaining at all! I think it is wonderful. I'm just wondering if anyone can explain what's going on? I like counting because it really makes me think about my choices, so I've been eating a lot more salads and produce.

Speaking of, I think the whole "salads-in-a-jar" thing is the best thing I've ever discovered on the internet.
Thank you!!

it's water (mostly). lots of people will lose a few lbs of water weight at the beginning when they cut back on their calories. keep with it.
  • dont question it just be happy
but seriously as the poster above says its probably water you were retaining, so just keep up your new healthy lifestyle and the weight will come off easily im sure :)good luck:flowerforyou:

The scales don't lie, you have lost the weight.

The point is its not 3lbs of fat. It takes 3500 calories to burn 1lb of fat. 3lbs of fat = 10500 calories.

The weight lost will be a combination of water, glycogen from muscles and fat. The majority of the weight lost will be water.
