6 month plateau

Yep SIX months of hell!

I managed to lose just three pounds in weight, yet I dropped over TWO dress sizes. The frustration of seeing the same figure on the scales each week is agonising, and I know in the past I'd have given up, but as I'm waiting for surgery my BMI needs to drop 4 more points, and although I look so much smaller the scales told the sad truth. Even my surgeon was shocked as when I walked into his office two weeks ago he was ready to put me on the operating list until he read my weight figures :(

I tried everything I could to shift it, but nothing seemed to work, so I went back to my normal routine...... and hey presto. FINALLY, last week I lost two pounds, followed by another three within the next couple of days.

So for those of you out there suffering the same, don't give up!!!!

    What did you change to break the plateau?

    Nothing really. I'd tried upping calories, lowering calories, upping protein, lowering it, more exercise, less exercise, you name it, I tried it.

    Eventually I got so fed up I just went back to my normal exercise routine of walking, my normal diet, and something must have triggered the loss again.

    I'm just as flummoxed, trust me.
