Calories burned in strength training

I'm a runner and recently added strength training to my exercise regimen. My Fitness Pal calculates calories burned for my runs, but doesn't do that for the strength training. How do I know how many calories I've burned so that I can eat appropriately?

    I wouldn't worry about it.

It's negligible. Most calories burned through strength training are not burned during the exercise itself. Guaranteed, you're not going to burn more than a maximum of 100 calories in an hour of strength training, that is if you aren't doing some kind of HIIT program. It also depends on your level of intensity. I wouldn't bother tracking it.

    Here's some recommended reading:

Short answer is that you'll never know how many calories you've burned strength training, if it was something that I cared about I'd likely estimate in line with the above article (~200 per hour or so).

Yes it does - log it under the cardio section of your fitness diary (search for strength training). It will give a very rough estimate based on METS and adjusted for your weight. It isn't much though.
