No Burpees? Push up weight?

Why are Burpees not in the data base on the app? Nothing comes up when I search exercises. What's the deal with entering weight when adding push ups? For that matter, where is the thrusters or dead lifts or presses? I am having a problem entering my HIT style workout in for an accurate calorie burn. What do you do?

I imagine your weight is important when calculating push up burn because, well, a push up is kind of like lifting your own body weight, right? So if you weigh more, push-ups will burn more just like if you added more to a weight at the gym.0

I think that falls under cardio, and the cardio exercises in the database are really non-specific. I mean, you can do a LOT of goofy stuff to get your heart rate up, they couldn't possibly list them all here.
For high intensity workouts, I just log "aerobics, high impact" or "circuit training-general" and call it a day. You'll never get exact calorie burn anyway.0 -

I have been using the aerobics, high impact entry. I was just wondering why there was no specific entry. Burpees seem pretty generic as do things like dead lifts or squats.0

I have had issues entering some exercises as well. It took me forever to find Jump rope in the system and It was in as "Jump roping" Try playing with the spelling if you want to enter specific activities. I also noticed it was easier to log via computer then mobile because there is a drop menu that lists all activities to choose from, Which is how I found Jump roping.0

Accurate calorie burn and MFP exercise calculator do not go hand in hand for weight loss.1

AFAIK, the MFP list is just a pretty interface to the 2011 Compendium Of Physical Activities ( https://sites.google.com/site/compendiumofphysicalactivities/ ). There are a few extensions (for example, Les Mills must have supplied info on their offerings), but it's not like the MFP folks are out doing their own studies.0

You're not going to get an accurate calorie burn by entering individual exercises0 -
I would not log any of those exercises individually.0

Log it under cardio as strength training or circuit training.0
