Go out for Splurge or make healthy version

What is everyone doing? Do you clean out house of all your foods you can't resist and go out when you really need or do you recreate at home a healthier version? My guilty pleasure is ice cream and I thought I was doing better by buying smaller portions and keeping in garage freezer but now I'm starting to think I need to get rid of all chocolate in house! lol

I did both. Gave all the unhealthy stuff to my local food bank and started replacing with the good stuff. My guilty pleasure is almost anything I can pop in my mouth without cooking. I make sure none of that stuff is in the house.

If I have ice cream in the house I will eat it, so no ice cream in the house. Once in a while I will go out for ice cream, really good ice cream. I keep bars of dark lindt chocolate in the house, I eat one square a day after lunch, I can do this with no problems and never binge on the bars I have stashed.

Pretty much everything else in my house is healthy.

I haven't really changed the foods in my house much. I'm not the only person who lives here.
There are very few foods I can not resist or work into my goals. I either buy small amounts of my problem foods or don't buy them at all. There are some foods that I have decided aren't really worth it for the amount of calories and lack of nutrition.

I live with my kids and husband, who don't need to change the way they eat. It wouldn't be fair to them if I threw out the chocolate or biscuits so I just have to rely on self control. I don't deprive myself either as that would make me obsess. I just recognise what treats I can have work them into my day and the rest isn't mine to have.

Do you have a food scale?
I weigh stuff before I eat it.
You would be surprised on how much less ice cream you will eat.
walmart, target, bbbeyond all sell these. About $20
