Smoothies to kick start weight loss

Hey everyone!
I joined this forum for support and feedback. I have 37 pounds I'd like to be rid of for good!
I'm thinking I'm going to kick start my weight loss by supplementing a green smoothie for a meal a day or even one of my snacks (clearly there are too many).

Does anyone have any favorite recipes or success stories with smoothies?

    I don't know what you mean by success with smoothies. You can drink a smoothie for 200+ calories or you can chew food for 200+ calories. If for some reason you really love them and they help you stay in a deficit, by all means smoothie it up.

    Dont use smoothies or those commercial *kitten* detox programs. Eat healthy, track your calories and lift some heavy weights and youll drop the fat in no time and gain some nice tone back for it ;)

    You don't need to kickstart anything. Just start and stick with it. If you want to drink smoothies, just log them like everything else.

    I have a smoothie most mornings but not for weight loss purposes but rather it is a convenient way of getting in some fruit and vegetables. I'm not much of a morning eater as well.

    Favourite green smoothie currently is:

    handful of spinach / kale
    celery
    cucumber
    some form of fruit or mixture of fruit (preferably frozen as it makes the smoothie taste nice and cold)
    water or almond milk depending on what I feel like
    Dash of apple juice for additional sweetness if I feel like it
    Sprinkling of chia seeds
